Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, Kolkata Campus is going to organize a Faculty Development Programme on International Business during December 4th & 5th, 2019 and Management Doctoral Colloquium during December 6th, 2019.

The Faculty Development Programme (FDP) [December 4th & 5th, 2019]

FDP will provide a platform to understand the concepts, theory and frameworks relating to International Business from leading experts in the country. The primary focus of the programme would be on the following broad areas:
Introduction to International Business
International Business Strategy.
International Marketing and Branding.
International Finance.
International Trade Operations, Logistics and Conventions.
International Trade Analytics.

Key objectives of the Programme:
 To help to Integrate International Business to the mainstream management education.
 To groom specialist teachers for conducting International Business courses in various management schools in India, through pooled national expertise.
 To impart them necessary teaching skills (including teaching through case studies) to improve effectiveness in class-room delivery.
 To keep them updated about the state-of-the-art in International Business Alliances, to be able to incorporate changes in syllabus on a continuous basis.
 To develop close relationship among faculties for necessary academic interaction.
 To develop course outline relating to International Business keeping in view the latest trends around & catering the pedagogical needs.


 To develop a large base of academicians in International Business area for scholarly research on topics related to International Business.
The FDP will be useful to faculty members who are teaching or likely to take up teaching the course with elements of International Business. It would also benefit those who wish to develop expertise in the field of International Business.

Management Doctoral Colloquium (MDC) [December 6th, 2019]

MDC will provide a platform to the researchers to present their novel work and get benefitted from the insightful feedback of peers and experts to further enhance the quality of the research work. The event intends to bring together doctoral students, faculty members and leading academicians in the field of various areas of management and thereby facilitate collaborative work amongst the researchers. Doctoral students and faculty who have just submitted their thesis or pursuing Ph. D programme in the field of management across all areas, including: Accounting, Economics, Finance, Human Resource Management, Organisational Behaviour, Logistics, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Business Laws, Business Strategy, Marketing, Data Analytics, Systems, Soft Computing any other allied area of Management can submit their extended abstract.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

Papers will be in form of extended abstract, not exceeding 750 words, in the following format:
1. Motivation
2. Purpose
3. Methodology
4. Results
5. Contribution

REVIEW CRITERIA

All papers will be blind reviewed and only those papers approved by the reviewers will be selected. The criteria for evaluation by the reviewers are as follows:

Relevance:
Does the subject of the paper contribute to any current unresolved problems in the relevant discipline?

Methodology:
Does the paper use appropriate methodology?

Contribution
Does the paper contribute to the theory of a management subject or finance or economics?
Or
Does the paper provide relevant / novel policy or managerial implications?

BEST PAPER AWARD

All submissions will be considered for five best paper awards for all the five core streams.

These include:

Accounting / Economics / Finance
Human Resource Management / Organizational Behaviour
Logistics / Operation Management / Supply Chain Management
Business Laws / Business Strategy / Marketing
Data Analytics / Systems / Soft Computing

October 30th, 2019

Acceptance of Extended Abstract: November 7th, 2019
